Your links to Huddersfield don't end when you leave the University - wherever life takes you, you're a Huddersfield alumnus for the rest of your life, and forever part of one of the country’s up and coming universities.
It may have been one, ten or possibly twenty-five years since you left the University of Huddersfield but, like thousands of fellow former students, you still have a strong bond with the University and the town, and we'd like to still keep in touch. Our graduate population is the greatest long-term asset of the University and we hope that you are as proud of your University connection as we are of your achievements.

Email for life
Alumni of the University of Huddersfield are able to continue to use their student email account after they have graduated. You will no-longer have access to the student portal however, so you may need to change the way you access your email account. You can access your email account as an alumnus via http://unimail.hud.ac.uk or outlook.com
Your alumni email account gives you a massive mail quota of 10Gb. However, if you don't plan to check it regularly, we recommend that you set up your account to automatically forward your emails to the account you use regularly.

Library discounts
Members of the Alumni Society are entitled to free membership of the university library. Our 2009 refurbishment saw the old library you might remember transformed into a modern and inspirational learning space, with state-of-the-art facilities, IT provision and top resources, which have placed us alongside the very best academic libraries in the country.
Fitness Centre discounts
Alumni members are also eligible for a graduate membership rate of £100.00 per year to the University's fitness centre. This will give you access to the fitness centre's state of the art fitness machines and sauna at a fraction of the cost of joining a private health club. Discounted Life Membership of the Students' Union
For those of you who want to stay part of the Students Union, a life membership for Alumni is just £10.00. For this price you’ll receive admittance to the SU for you and guests, access to clubs and societies and a monthly edition of the Student Newsletter.
If you would like a keep-sake of your time at the University, we have a range of products that might be of interest to you. Full details can be found here at our online store. The Students' Union also has an online store, where you can buy additional University branded products.
Would you like to give something back and help individual students who have challenging or difficult circumstances? Then think of donating to the Student Fund (University Scholarship Fund). Money collected is used in a number of different ways from full or partial scholarships to providing hardship funds. Every penny you give goes into the fund – none of the money goes into running the alumni society, and the fund is fully audited and accounted for.
Donate to the Student Fund using a debit or credit card. Regular small donations are as valuable as one-off payments – every penny counts.
